About Me
I’m the owner of RedCouch PR, a book marketing company that specializes in helping christian authors increase their online presence.
You’ll find tips, tricks, and motivation for all things related to marketing your book here at my blog. Please let me know if you have any feedback or topics you’d like to see discussed.
If you’re curious, here’s a little bit about me and why I’m passionate about book marketing:
I’ve always been around books. My mom, grandmother, and aunt are all authors, so it only seemed natural that I would eventually either write or work in the book industry in some way. I graduated from The University of Texas at Tyler with a degree in marketing and went to work for a prolific author of more than 40 books. I discovered that there is a thrill in helping someone else share their story, their ideas, their concepts, their book. So I decided that until the Lord lays on my heart that I should write (if he ever does), I wanted to help authors share their gift of writing.
I believe that God gives each of us different gifts and talents and that He wants us to use those gifts to glorify Him. I am simply amazed at authors and their creativity, wisdom, and discipline. Authors are some of my favorite people and always have been, because they look for inspiration in every part of life. They don’t dismiss losing their car keys, or seeing a rainbow, or casual conversations with friends over coffee. Because they are always looking for material, they’re always looking for purpose and meaning. I think authors know themselves better than many people because they reflect on their life on a daily basis and use their writing to process struggles or to celebrate joyful moments.
Because I admire authors, I am giddy that I get to contribute to their publishing success. Not all authors are gifted in marketing and those that are often lack the time because they are busy caring for their families, running companies, speaking, or writing their next book. My desire is to help authors with their online book marketing so they can focus on the things God has gifted them to do.
